The Baby Love! project began in 2003 as a service project for teens to help teens. Since then the program has expanded! The people at St. Rita Church are wonderful with their support, to date we have helped over 600 babies.
As a service project the Religious Education students work to sort, pack and deliver baby items as the need arises. This teaches the students, and their parents, many critical lessons with each delivery.
In addition to this outreach the many parishioners of St. Rita have brought in used baby equipment such as beds, strollers, high chairs, play pens, clothing and toys. These items are available to anyone with a need.
The generous monetary donations are used to purchase the items, especially diapers and cleaning aids, that are not donated. By filling a dresser with the necessary infant items we are able to provide some relief for a family in need.
As part of the Christmas basket deliveries we also provide each family with children a large tub of essential items.
